Our love of subway architecture continues, this time with the Carmelit– a slanted subway system in Haifa, Israel.  The Carmelit spans roughly 2 km of sloping terrain in Haifa, carrying commuters across the city during their daily travels.  The stations, like the one shown here, are similar in layout to most standard subway stations, but terraced from high to low.  The colors of the Carmelit and its stations add a vibrant touch to this absolutely surreal system of modern transport.  [carmelit via designboom] View in gallery View in gallery View in gallery
